I didn’t have any Ranch dressing in the fridge when I was trying to make a dip for some fried zucchini, so I took some mayonnaise and mixed it with other handy ingredients to create a concoction that I called Slap Juice. After family and friends told me they liked it since it works on pretty much anything, I coined the name Slap Juice. It’s great on coleslaw and makes a good dip because it’s pretty neutral and lets the flavor of your main ingredient come through. Add a bit of cayenne or Louisiana hot sauce if you like it spicy.

  • Total Time: 10 mins
  • Yield: 4 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup mayonnaise (I use Best Foods)
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar (use more or less to adjust the sauce thickness to your liking)
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon SYD Original All Purpose Rub
  • dash of white pepper
  • Bag of coleslaw

Instructions

  1. Mix Slap Juice ingredients in bowl with a whisk. Ensure sugar is completely dissolved. Toss with store-bought coleslaw. Serve immediately like a salad.

    1. Thanks Richard for stopping by. I also like an German mustard version and an Indonesian peanut dressing version for slaw. When I have an opportunity, I’ll post these variations.
